The city has everything ready to welcome, of the 28 al 30 d'agost, the 49th edition of the Aquelarre festival, which this year will be marked by the commemoration of the Cervera Millennium.
For three days, streets and squares will once again be filled with fire, music, shows and popular culture, in one of the main summer festivals in Catalonia.
This year's edition will have a special look at the history of Cervera. The city's Millennium will be the central theme of Saturday's show, a proposal by Alea Teatre that will have the Mad King as its protagonist, one of the figures of the imagination and legends of Cervera.
L’show will explain, from the Aquelarre's own universe, how the monarch lost his mind after coming to power. The figure of Lilit will have a prominent role in this story and will be the one who will trigger the fall of the Mad King into delirium. The proposal will leave the facade of the University and end in Cal Racó, where the runoff of Mascle Cabró, already in the morning, will put the climax to the most special night of the year in Cervera.
The central show will mobilize more than 200 people and will have the participation of various beer organizations, in a proposal that will combine fire, music, theater and popular culture.

Hefocwill once again be one of the great protagonists of the Aquelarre. More than will be burned throughout the weekend 450 kilos of gunpowder in the different fireworks of the party. The program will start on Friday afternoon with the Bestiary Meeting and the Fire Parade, that will come out at 23 hours from Plaça de la Universitat and will end in Plaça Major. Grand Boc and Aquelarret Fair
The party also maintains the rest of the proposals that complete the program, with theFeria del Gran Boc from Friday until Sunday evening in the courtyard of the University where the public will be able to discover dozens of stalls dedicated to tarot, palmistry, astrology, the minerals, natural products, the rituals, spiritual arts and specialized crafts, in a proposal that combines tradition, mystery and new trends linked to well-being and the esoteric universe.
There will also be an extensive program of sessions, conferences and events that can be consulted on the website of the fair.
The gastronomic offer moves this year to the Lluís Sanpere promenade with food trucks and gastronomic stalls. The aim is to turn this whole area into a great meeting space during the Aquelarre weekend.

With a consolidated trajectory and references of the Catalan music scene, Doctor Prats will perform in Cervera in full tour of his new album, F5, an album that symbolizes the return of the group after a temporary stop and that celebrates ten years of the band's career.
The music will be resounding all weekend with performances by up-and-coming groups with a lot of partying, the most current versions and the electronic rhythms of the moment when there will be Partiperes, Mercabanda and Les Wilma's (Friday night in Plaça Major) i The Papa’s and the Popo’s i DJ Spoty (SIX CURRENT DAYS), David Beatz, DJ Feren i DJ Drawer (Magdalena de Montclar square), DJ Sendo, Black Brother and The Pink Goats (main square) i Duet Zarabanda (where the reading of the Proclamation and the presentation of the participating groups by the Carnival King will take place) the night of the Saturday of Aquelarre.
