The participants of the day, organized by the Tourism Area of the Regional Council of the Segarra and Tourism Cervera, have agreed to highlight the experience as a very positive initiative to strengthen the links between the agents of the tourism and cultural sectors of the region.
In the conclusions they have also stressed the importance of weaving a solid network and of cabbage·collaboration.
They particularly valued the quality of the information provided during the day, which has allowed them to discover new proposals and resources in the territory. This direct knowledge is key to improving the ability to recommend visitors, enriching their experience and enhancing the tourist attractions of the region.
They have also valued cabbage·collaboration between institutions and private agents, a bet that is considered essential for the effective promotion of the territory.
Tourist familiarization day
The Tourism Area of the Regional Council of Segarra with the col·organized by Turisme Cervera, Wednesday 30 October, a familiarization day (fam trip), addressed to the tourist sector of Segarra with the aim of making known the tourist resources of the city of Cervera through the eyes of professionals in the sector, so that they can provide tourist information, become ambassadors of the territory and improve self-esteem towards the city.
The day started at 9.30 h in the morning at the Tourist Reception Center (CAT) de Cervera where the president of the Regional Council of Segarra, Ramon Augé, the councilor for Tourism of Cervera, Judit Guim, and the regional councilor of Tourism, Francesc Sabanes, they welcomed the attendees and thanked them for their participation. The president of the Regional Council encouraged the private sector to become a speaker of the tourism assets of the area while asking them to work hard for, among all, get quality tourist products. He also made the services of the Council's Tourism Department available to the sector.
From the CAT, the group moved to the SensaSió Jardí space for the senses, in Castellnou d'Oluges -municipality of Cervera-, where a coaching session was carried out as a tool for personal and technical professional growth. At the same time, this space was made known to connect with nature and open to the general public. When finished, the group moved to Cervera, where the heritage interpreter Armand Forcat made a guided tour of the University, the old center of the city and the church of Santa Maria.
The L’Antic Forn restaurant, awarded in the Washoku World Challenge contest as the third best restaurant in the world, outside Japan, in the preparation of Japanese dishes. The day ended with a visit to the Regional Museum of Cervera, on the director, Mireia Pedro, he guided the group through the Duran i Sanpere house.
From now on, work will be done to carry out the fam trip in other spaces, towns and cities of the region, with the aim of discovering more places and tourist products and, at the same time, continue to create a network between all agents in the territory.
