The Department of Territory, Habitatge i Transició Ecològica will launch next September a new regular bus line between Cervera and Guissona that will improve public transport alternatives for daily trips for work reasons, educational, commercial and administrative.

The new line, identified with the number 502, will offer twelve outbound and twelve return expeditions from Monday to Friday on weekdays, with a regular frequency of 60 minutes throughout the day.

It will join Guissona and Cervera in approx 22 minutes and will also serve the municipalities of Tarroja de Segarra and Torrefeta, the latter through stop on demand.

The Director of Transport and Mobility, Susie Lopez, presented the new connection at an event in Guissona, Monday 20 July, together with mayors of the municipalities through which it passes.

Representing the Paeria de Cervera, the Councilor for Youth and Education attended, Carolina Garcia.

The performance, which will lead to an increase in the contribution of the Department of Territory, Housing and Ecological Transition of uns 215.000 euros per year, will improve public transport alternatives by facilitating intermodality between rail services and intercity buses.

In this line, all the integrated titles and rates of the Lleida Regional Mobility Authority will be valid (ATM Lleida), a fact that will facilitate the combined use of the different modes of public transport.

The service will be operated by La Hispano Igualadina, company of the Monbus group and concessionaire of the line.

"This new line will bring the rail services of Rodalies de Lleida closer to the population of La Segarra and its surroundings, reinforcing at the same time the role of Cervera as an intermodal node of reference and facilitating the access of the citizens of Guissona and its area of ​​influence to both the railway network and the set of public transport connections in the country" emphasized the Director of Transport and Mobility, Susie Lopez.
