The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility plans to finish, Friday 18 October, the farm improvement works he has carried out in the section of the Cervera variant, and the A-2 cars, since March of 2023.

Coinciding with the final stretch of the works, the deputy delegate of the State Government in Lleida, Jose Crespín, together with the father in chief of Cervera, Jan Pomés, and the head of the Roads Unit, Juan Antonio Romero, and managers of the awarding company, have visited the latest works that, of Monday 14 Friday 18 October, they take place in the left lane, towards Lleida, between the kilometer points 517,950 i 512,130.

These works consist of the application and extension of the bearing layer, a thin agglomerate layer of 3 centimeters that gives uniformity to the firmness of the layout. The forecasts are that next week minor works will be carried out on the access branches, which will not affect traffic on the motorway, and the painting tasks of the horizontal signage will remain pending.

Subdelegate José Crespín stood out, in the visit of works, that "it is a satisfaction to be able to announce the completion of the set of actions for the three road improvement projects that the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has promoted in the Terres de Lleida since 2020 because we have responded to an old demand of the territory and because it will mean an important improvement for the users of this road, the one that registers the highest traffic volume of the entire road network in our province".

The three sections of the A-2 where the Ministry has carried out road improvement actions since 2020 they are:

  • Section between Torrefarrera and Alamús, from 15 kilometers in length and an investment of 7,5 millions.
  • Section between the variant of Lleida and the border with the province of Huesca, from 17 kilometers and an investment of 12,17 millions.
  • Varying section of Cervera, of approximately 9 kilometers and an investment of 10,27 millions.

Finished the site visit, José Crespín participated, together with the father in chief of Cervera, Jan Pomés, and the Councilor for Equality, Judit Guim, at the inauguration of the Temps x Cures space in Cervera, located in the building of the old Espatula, a new universal care space aimed at children from 3 a 10 years that it has had funding from the Government of Spain through the Ministry of Equality.
