This past weekend, a dozen professional pianists from the Cervera Conservatory of Music traveled to the town of Palafrugell as a result of the return of the exchange with the Professional Professional Artistic Education Center l'Energia.
The students, alongside a large group of parents from Cervera and the four teachers who accompanied them were received by the mayor of Palafrugell, Juli Fernandez; they were able to visit Calella and do the round trip. And even all the most daring students swam on the beach.
Saturday afternoon was dedicated to work, since it was decided to perform four-hand works with mixed groups between students from Cervera and Palafrugell, fact that required his rehearsal and class time from the teaching staff.
However, there was also a certain time of enjoyment, to meet other young people with the same concerns and make friends. And after a joint dinner at the Energy Center itself, they had a space to go out together and enjoy the town and its most special places, before being welcomed by the families of Palafrugell.

On Sunday we were offered a visit and workshop at the Cork Museum and then there was a sound check before the concert. This took place at 12 of noon in the space of the center dedicated to the auditorium. The students played both individually and in four-hand piano formations. And all the young people must be congratulated because a very good level was seen and it was the optimal point to verify that the daily effort in the study of the instrument has its reward.
After the fraternity lunch in the Energia courtyard offered by the families and a time of enjoyment where the students made very good friends with each other, they played the piano together and even sang together, the Cervera entourage returned to the Segarra capital with a very pleasant experience.
Parents and students are to be congratulated for their efforts, to the families of Palafrugell for their welcome and hospitality and to the charming treatment of the teaching staff of Palafrugell - headed by its director emerita, Rita Ferrer-.
We will all keep a magnificent memory of the experience.
