Sunday 12 from May the musical protagonism in Cervera will be performed by the prestigious pianist Marianna Prjevalskaya, which will offer master classes to Conservatory students and a piano recital as part of the Spring Concert Series.
Praised by critics as "a great pianist" (The citizen, Italy), Marianna Prjevalskaya has performed with renowned orchestras such as the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of Galicia or the Symphony Orchestra of Korea.
He has given recitals in prestigious venues such as the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Santa Cecília Academy in Rome, Goldoni Theater in Florence, Minato Mirai Hall de Yokohama, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía and Palau de la Música in Valencia or Weill Hall in New York.
His debut at New York's Carnegie Hall was praised by critic Frank Daykin as "one of the greatest piano recitals of the season" and "an overwhelming demonstration of pianistic maturity" (New York Concert Review, New York).
Marianna has obtained a gold medal and first prizes at the International Piano Competition in New Orleans 2014, the Cincinnati World Piano Competitions 2013 and the Jaén International Piano Competition on 2011. He has released two albums for the labels Naxos and Fanfare Cincinnati.
His training at the Royal College of Music in London, where he studied with Irina Zaritskaya and Kevin Kenner and later with Alexander Toradze at Indiana University and at the Yale School of Music with Boris Berman - where he obtained his Master's and Artist's Diploma led him to obtain his doctorate at the Peabody Institute of Music from Johns Hopkins University, where he studied with Boris Slutsky.

The pianist will offer two sonatas for keyboard by José Antonio Carlos de Seixas, a selection of works by the Catalan composer Abraham Tena Manrique - Dos nocturns op. 4, Two preludes op. 11 and the Romance op. 12 – in addition to two studies op. 8 by the Russian composer Alexander Scriabin, the monumental Overture in French style in B minor BWV 831 of J. S Bach and closes with the Vall d'Obermann (corresponding to the Years of Pilgrimage) but Franz Liszt.
