The subdelegate of the State Government in Lleida, Jose Crespín, together with the 2nd deputy mayor and Councilor for Urban Planning of the Paeria de Cervera, Antonio Delgado, and the head of the State Roads Unit in Lleida, Juan Antonio Romero, yesterday they visited the point of the motorway where the works are being carried out.

The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has this week resumed work on the project to improve and rehabilitate the road on the A-2 between the kilometer points 514 i 522,270, at the height of the Cervera variant.
These works are part of the project to improve a stretch of uns 9 kilometers, about, which foresees the improvement of the stop in both directions of traffic on the A-2, as well as structural rehabilitation actions that will be concentrated in the right lanes of both roads. The project has an execution budget of 10,27 millions of euros.

The works, started on Monday 11 of March and which continue those executed last year, they focus on the improvement of the firm on the side roads and on the access branches of this section of the Cervera variant. The forecasts are that this first action will end at the end of next week.

The Ministry already worked last year on both directions of the road in the section of the Cervera variant, in other words that is, both in the direction of Barcelona and in the direction of Lleida, and over the next few months, work will continue to complete the set of works planned for the project.

Coinciding with this new phase of works on the Cervera variant, the deputy delegate of the State Government in Lleida, Jose Crespín, together with the 2nd deputy mayor and Councilor for Urban Planning of the Paeria de Cervera, Antonio Delgado; the head of the State Roads Unit in Lleida, Juan Antonio Romero, and the managers of the awarded company have visited the point of the motorway where the operators have been working since Monday to learn the details of the improvements that are being carried out.

In this way, the sub-delegate explained that the Ministry "continues with the initial schedule planned to carry out the rehabilitation of the farm in the section of the Cervera variant, aware that it was absolutely necessary to intervene at this point and at other points on the A-2 motorway as it passes through the province of Lleida. It is the communication route with the highest traffic volume and it had not been used for many years, despite the demands of the municipalities, of the economic fabric and users".

currently, the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility is working on the improvement of the stop at two points of the A-2 motorway, which are those of the Cervera variant and a section of 3,6 kilometers in the direction of Barcelona located between the municipal terms of Lleida and Alcarràs.
