The 6th edition of the SegaMots Festival, the art of storytelling, was presented, Friday 4 October, in a press conference that took place in Estaràs, in front of the church of Sant Julià.

After the welcome by the mayor of Estaràs, Jordi Duocastella, the representatives of the three organizing institutions took the floor: by the Regional Council of Segarra and Paeria de Cervera, Ramon Augé i Gené; by the Guissona City Council, Agnès Pla i Ribalta; and the director of the festival, Patricia McGill Ferrari.

Between 18 and the 20 In October, SegaMots will tour different towns in the region: Guissona, Vilagrasseta, Sant Martí de la Morana, Concabella, Sant Ramon, massage therapists, Ferran, Tarroja de Segarra and Cervera, portant 8 shows for all audiences, a round table as a space for reflection, and two shows for adults with beer or wine tasting from the territory, the tastamots.
This year's guest artists are Mònica Torra, from Perpignan; Caterina Valriu, d'Inca, Mallorca; i to Magda Labar, from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Once again there will be staff narrators, My Mas, from Parets del Vallès, and Lídia Clua, of Centelles. All of them with well-differentiated speeches and styles. Some shows will be choral and others individual.
The round table, which will take place at Concabella Castle and which will be entitled "Sex and gender issues in the retold story“, will be attended by Sílvia Aldavert, political scientist specialized in gender and public policies.
Most of the sessions are held outdoors, in places, streets and fountains. But also in closed spaces such as the Teatre de Ca L’Eril, in Guissona, and the Casa Dalmases Tap Room, Cervera.

Planned activities in Cervera:
Saturday 19, them 21 hours, in the Tap Room of Casa Dalmases: storytelling for adults, by Mònica Torra, with beer and chocolate tasting. Prior registration to festivalsegamots@gmail.com.
Sunday 20, them 12.30 hours, will offer three free shows for all audiences: stories for all audiences with Mònica Torra, Magda Labarga and Caterina Valriu.

The theme of this year's edition is nature.
The SegaMots Festival is the most visible part of a project that also takes the stories to schools and residences, and that prepares didactic proposals together with the libraries and museums of the Region.
This is a project organized by Culture and Tourism of the Regional Council of La Segarra, the cultural councils of the Paeria de Cervera and the Guissona City Council, to which a greater number of councils are added every year. This year there·the town councils of Estaràs work, the Plans of Zion, Montoliu de Segarra, Tarroja de Segarra, Torrefeta and Florejacs, Sant Ramon and Massoteres; the museums and libraries of Cervera and Guissona; the Segarra Educational Service; the Institut d'Estudis Ilerdencs and the Department of Culture of the Generalitat. And it has the support of Omnium and BonÀrea.
