The popular beer festival expands its program this year and will be held over two days: Friday 12 and Saturday 13 July. With the motto "Beer 2024, 10 years on the podium", the theme will revolve around the Olympics, coinciding with the year of the games, and the city will be converted, for a weekend, in your olympic.
On Friday, the party will begin in the evening with the performance of the Bandarra Street Orkestra, which will kick off the parade of troupes and flag bearers. This will be followed by the opening show of the Olympics, with the participation of several Cervera sports organizations. The night will close with a popular dinner and music of the years 90 i 2000 with DJ Jack Paradise from Cervera.
On Saturday, the Secà Carnival will count, as always, with the essential ingredients that make the party unique. The Bell Ringers and the Bombollers children's group will start the day and give way to the Mainada de Secà, the space for the little ones who, since a few years ago, it has become an essential part of the party and where, this year, they will enjoy a gymnasium contextualized in the Olympics. Then there will be the musical vermouth, enlivened by a charanga and will close the morning with the traditional and expected Correbarra. At lunchtime, it is hoped that the Cervera restaurant can make attractive proposals to fill all the bars and restaurants in the city.
in squares and streets of the city of Cervera, there will be the great Rua dels JJOO Cervera 2024, where it is expected to have a record number of troupe registrations. As always, there will also be the performance of various percussion groups from all over Catalonia. At the end of the street, the proclamation of the Carnival Queen will take place, the award ceremony and one of the star moments·lars of the day: the Secà Carnival Band concert, formed by members of the different percussion groups of Cervera, and the Conservatory Wind Band. Directed by Guillem Garcia and Bernardo Manzambi, this year this moment also comes with surprises. The party will continue throughout the night with the covers group The Txandalls, the beer DJ Te Jodes y Bailas and the Association's resident DJs.
Recently the Association of the Carnival of Secà and the Paeria of Cervera have signed an agreement of col·collaboration for the realization of three festive events throughout the year: the winter carnival, the Brunch Electronik and the Secà Carnival, with a total subsidy of 17.000 euros.
This year's budget for the Secà Carnival is 27.000 euros. It also has the financial support of the beer trade and the col·collaboration, both monetary and human, of each and every member of the Association, who work selflessly to grow the party year after year.
Secà's Electronics Brunch, the party that has come to stay
The Plaza de les Corts Catalanes de Cervera, popularly called "the Four Bars", he recovered, Saturday 11 May, the electronic sound that had been heard in so many editions of Aquelarre. It was packed to the brim to celebrate the second edition of the Secà Carnival Presentation, with a Brunch Electronik and 12 hours of electronic music.
Al Brunch, which lasted until 23 hours, they acted there 8 disc punch: Atabey, Miles, Kissingher, ALDO (Aka You Fuck and Dance), Samuel Eme, Javi Level and Edgar DJ B2B Dj Loosap closed the night. The day was a success with attendance, even with people from outside the province of Lleida, coming expressly to enjoy the scheduled DJs.
During the morning, the little ones could enjoy games and activities in the "Kids Zone", which energized the Segarra Sports Council, with a very good reception. some 100 people were able to enjoy the popular lunch. Throughout the day, an atmosphere of brotherhood was created that is very typical of what the Secà Carnival represents: a festive atmosphere, familiar, a very varied audience, a party for all ages, inclusive and joyful.
It is the second time that the Secà Carnival Cultural Association has organized an event of this magnitude to present the party and the general feeling is that, after the success of the second edition, it is a format that will have continuity over the years.
