Candies are the ingrained popular choral songs that, this year in a different format, they celebrate the arrival of spring, and which can be enjoyed in a special way.
Les Caramelles de Cervera 2021 have had to adapt to health measures in order to minimize the effects of the pandemic, and that is why, in this edition, the groups of the Children's Choir will perform separately in three different spaces, this will avoid the concentration of singers and audiences in one place. In each space there will be two songs (them 11.30 and the 12.30 hours), with the following distribution:
- Main square: groups of Escatxics, Smurfs and Small A
- Plaza Santa Ana: Grans A and B
- University Plaza: Small B and Medium.
In the different spaces, and bounded by fences, there will be an enclosure for the public with well-separated chairs, in which we await your presence, in order to be able to listen to the songs that our singers and directors will perform, and also, if the case arises, col·work on singing some popular Caramelles song that we’d like to share with all of you.
It highlights the fact that for all singers, and according to the circumstances experienced in recent months, the Candies will be the first performance of the course in front of the public and, in some cases, for new additions, the first as members of the Nova Cervera Children's Choir. Quite an event, and a musical and personal challenge!
On the other band, inform you, than to be able to enjoy a beautiful day, shop windows and businesses col·workers have been shining, and they still shine, during these previous days some panels with images of the Candies of previous years, in order to make the party more public! The images share a new logo created especially for this occasion by designer Xavi Miret, to whom we thank once again for their dedication.
too, once again, and thanks to the contributions of the establishments col·workers, there will be the traditional raffle of monkeys and Easter presents from various bakeries and workshops (the numbers of which will be sold throughout the same morning of Candy in the squares mentioned above), as well as many gifts for all the singers, which will be raffled in "online" format on Easter evening.
This year, due to the measures, previous joint trials open to all could not be performed… Despite this, we invite you to join us this Sunday morning, per, another year, faithful to tradition, to be able to share and enjoy together the singing of our beloved Candies!
