The Paeria de Cervera organized, Saturday 20 d'abril, a meaningful act of recognition and tribute to the professor and historian M. Teresa Salat Noguera (Cervera, 1946-2023), in which the title of the city's favorite daughter was given to her family.
Núria Vázquez Salat and Lluís Vázquez Pueyo collected the title, daughter and husband of M. Teresa Salat, respectively, who dedicated heartfelt words of thanks for the event and signed the Book of Honor of the Paeria.
The father in chief spoke during the tribute, Jan Pomés; the representatives of the Spitllera – Segarrencs Studies Forum, Max Turull and Maria Garganté; and the one that was technical of the extinct Municipal Center of Culture, Ana Bellido.
They agreed to highlight the enormous commitment of M. Teresa Salat with Cervera and Segarra and their valuable contribution to the dissemination of historical heritage, artistic and documentary.
Relatives Antoni Salat and Lluís Vázquez also intervened, brother and husband of Teresa Salat, respectively, that they remembered her in a very emotional way.
At the event, which took place in the Plenary Hall of the Paeria, relatives of Teresa Salat attended, representatives of cultural organizations from Cervera and the region, and numerous citizens, who were able to follow him from the Picture Room. In advance, the Campaners de Cervera performed the Touch of Homage, a special ringing of the bells as a token of recognition to an outstanding person.
The granting of the title to the historian and professor M. Teresa Salat Noguera (Cervera, 1946-2023) was approved unanimously at the Plenary Session of the Paeria of 27 of November 2023, in a proposal that also had the support of 40 local entities.
The purpose is to publicly recognize their contribution to the dissemination of historical heritage, artistic and documentary of the municipality.
