Cervera will host activities of the Segamots Festival

The SegaMots, is an oral storytelling project that reaches audiences, places, residences, schools, museums, libraries… by its three legs: festival, stories in schools and residences, and didactic proposal.

The SegaMots Festival presents a series of shows, lectures and round tables around oral narration. An appointment full of old and new stories by the narrators Paula Carballeira, of Maniños; My Mas, of Walls; Lydia Clua, of Centelles; Almudena French, of Ontinyent; Ada Cusidó, from Barcelona. Different voices, different ways of counting.

The festival is itinerant, and this year it will go through Palou's indoor and outdoor stages, Tarroja de Segarra, You will be, Montornès de Segarra, More from Bondia, Guisson and Cervera. Relevant security measures and the obligatory use of the mask in enclosed spaces will be provided everywhere..

As for schools and residences, they will be visited by narrators throughout the week of the festival. And the didactic proposal will be made throughout the course together with the museums of Guissona and de Cervera.

The presentation of the SegaMots project took place on Friday 8 October, at the headquarters of the County Council, with all institutions and entities col·workers. The Councilor for Culture Paeria of Cervera, Mercè Carulla, also participated in the presentation.

As the project director explains, Patricia McGill, the festival up “looking forward to meetings in the piece, in the laundry, and by the fire: where there are stories to share and to spread”.

The different activities have been presented. This edition increases the number of guest narrators, of participating entities and municipalities that join the project.
