Of the 14 al 20 In July, the 43rd edition of the International Music Course will take place, one of the oldest and most prestigious educational activities in Spain.

This year the training will be in charge of 21 high-level teachers from various backgrounds, all of them experts in their field. The Heart of Projects, directed by Jordi Castellà; the elementary level guitar group, with the direction of Xavier Gómez; and The Assossegats, accordion group led by Sònia Peiró, they performed together with the Dakapo Choir and Hernani's accordion orchestra in the Milagrosa chapel, Saturday 27 d'abril, as the culmination of the return of the exchange between the musical centers of both localities.
The guitar group offered a program with works by Szordilowsky, Norman, Piovani, Phillips i Valeriano. The choirs participated separately and together with works by Ugalde, Alcaraz, Whitacre i Billie Eilish. Ha in a third part, the accordion groups led by Maribel Insausti and Sònia Peiró will perform works by Rossini, Rodgers, Merkies and Planavilla in arrangements by E. Sala i S. Peirón. And they culminated all the formations on stage with the well-known “I’m Still Standing” d’Elton John.
The Cervera expedition was also institutionally received at the Hernani Town Hall and, apart from the rehearsals, they had time to enjoy themselves, to meet other students with the same concerns and to take a guided tour of the Chillida d'Hernani Museum.
Another activity to encourage the students and give meaning to the study time they carry out weekly.

Of the 28 d'April 17 from May Cervera's educational centers join the Let's Clean Up Europe initiative 2024, which consists of waste collection actions dumped in different natural areas of the municipality.
The activity will be possible thanks to the networking of the centers, the Cervera Environmental Education Plan, the Municipal Services of La Paeria de Cervera and the Waste Area of the Regional Council of La Segarra.
The participating centers and the spaces they will clean are as follows:
Jaume Balmes School: Primary School students, to Parc Mas Duran; third year students, the riverbed of the Ondara river to Sant Pere el Gros; of quart, the environment of the Union; fifth, the surroundings of the school and the Path of the Farmers; and sixth, around Carrer Guernika and Camí de les Forques.
La Segarra Institute: the students of 1st of ESO will clean three spaces: the sports area and the surroundings of the institute, the Cardosa path to Clot de Sant Magí, and Sanaüja Street and the vicinity of the soccer field.
Les Savines School: the educational community will participate by acting in the Bosquet area, the open field next door and Jaume Magre square.
Antoni Torroja Institute: students of 2nd of ESO will perform in two sections of the Walls, from the Path of the Farmers to the washrooms and from the Puerta dels Pous to the washrooms.
School Mn. Josep Arques: the students of 4t, at the fire department's children's park and the edge of the train track; the 5th, the surroundings of the school and the promenade of the Station; i 6è, the riverbed of the Ondara river to Fiol.
l'Espígol Occupational Center is also joining the days and they will be cleaning open to the public in the surroundings of the Barracks and in Ciutat Jardí.
The actions promoted by the l'Espígol Occupational Center and the La Segarra Institute, he Friday 10 May, from the 10 hours, will be open to public participation. Let’s Clean Up Europe! is a common action throughout Europe to raise awareness about the amount of waste we throw uncontrolled into nature and to promote awareness actions through the collection of this waste dumped il·legally in the woods, beaches, banks of rivers, etc.

The Project Choir of the Conservatory of Cervera has won one of the Josep Anselm Clavé Awards 2023 of Choral Singing in Catalonia, in the category of "Best recording of choral singing", for the recording of "Quatre Cançons de Gerard López Boada".
The heart is made up of: Ruth Rius, Soraya Sanchez, Anastasia Mostishko, Julia Bonet, Sara Pomez, Aran Sala, Anna from Rica, Barbara Torres, Berta Inglavaga and Clara Pallès; Marc Spanish, on the floor; George and Spanish, to the direction.
The prestigious Clavé Awards, which this year reach the 6th edition, they are convened annually by the Clavé Choir Federation with the aim of disseminating and promoting the best works of the choral music scene in Catalonia.
The awards ceremony will take place on Friday 17 May, in the El Celler Space in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia.

The Paeria de Cervera organized, Saturday 20 d'abril, a meaningful act of recognition and tribute to the professor and historian M. Teresa Salat Noguera (Cervera, 1946-2023), in which the title of the city's favorite daughter was given to her family.
Núria Vázquez Salat and Lluís Vázquez Pueyo collected the title, daughter and husband of M. Teresa Salat, respectively, who dedicated heartfelt words of thanks for the event and signed the Book of Honor of the Paeria.
The father in chief spoke during the tribute, Jan Pomés; the representatives of the Spitllera – Segarrencs Studies Forum, Max Turull and Maria Garganté; and the one that was technical of the extinct Municipal Center of Culture, Ana Bellido.
They agreed to highlight the enormous commitment of M. Teresa Salat with Cervera and Segarra and their valuable contribution to the dissemination of historical heritage, artistic and documentary.
Relatives Antoni Salat and Lluís Vázquez also intervened, brother and husband of Teresa Salat, respectively, that they remembered her in a very emotional way.
At the event, which took place in the Plenary Hall of the Paeria, relatives of Teresa Salat attended, representatives of cultural organizations from Cervera and the region, and numerous citizens, who were able to follow him from the Picture Room. It can now be viewed on the channel of Youtube of the Paeria de Cervera.
In advance, the Campaners de Cervera performed the Touch of Homage, a special ringing of the bells as a token of recognition to an outstanding person.
The granting of the title to the historian and professor M. Teresa Salat Noguera (Cervera, 1946-2023) was approved unanimously at the Plenary Session of the Paeria of 27 of November 2023, in a proposal that also had the support of 40 local entities.
The purpose is to publicly recognize their contribution to the dissemination of historical heritage, artistic and documentary of the municipality.
