The gala of 17 Neus Ballús, to be held on Saturday 18 January, will connect live with Cervera, from where the prize will be awarded.

The spot for this edition of the Catalan cinema awards was also shot in Cervera, and will be broadcast on television, in theaters and social media in early January.

With this initiative, the Paeria de Cervera expresses its commitment to Catalan culture and promotes the city throughout Catalonia.

Catalan cinema awards and hosting the announcement of the Special Audience Award.

A year of free cinema and many other prizes
Two prizes will be drawn among all the people who participate in the voting: a VIP card to go to the cinema all year round, courtesy of the Cinema Guild of Catalonia, and an annual subscription to Filmin.cat to watch movies online all year round accompanied by an annual subscription to the digital edition of La Vanguardia.
The two winners of the raffle will also be given a batch of DO Catalunya wines. Besides, the first ones 300 participants will take home a thirty-day subscription to Filmin.cat and enter the draw for a double ticket to attend the 17th Gaudí Awards Gala on Saturday 18 in January at the CCIB.

Cervera celebrates the Christmas Market with great success

The second edition of the renewed Christmas Market organized by the Paeria de Cervera was a success, with the presence of more than 40 exhibitors and the influx of many visitors from all over.

The Market, which took place on Saturday 7 December, it was distributed in three different spaces: Plaza Mayor, Carrer Major and Plaça de Santa Anna.

Plaça Major was dedicated to the primary sector, with the presence of local products and the assembly of an animal pen. The children were able to enjoy pony rides and wooden games for the whole family.

On the main street they settled·home more than 40 stalls of local businesses and others from the towns of Lleida and Barcelona, in a route of almost half a kilometer where you could find all the products typical of the Christmas festivities.

In the square of Santa Anna was the Fair of Entities of Cervera, where local associations had the opportunity to make themselves known, explain their work and bring their commitment to the public and visitors. About twenty organizations participated, who also organized activities open to everyone.

This year the Market opened with a live musical performance by the group La Follia, who are going to present the song “Nadal x you”, Lleida Televisió's Christmas.
The head priest took part in the opening ceremony, Jan Pomés, and councilors of the Consistory, who subsequently visited and welcomed the exhibitors of the Market. They also inaugurated the nativity scene, which is organized by the Associació de Pessebristes de Cervera at the church of Sant Joan, and they handed out the prizes for the school drawing competition, organized by the Campaners de Cervera on the occasion of the 600th anniversary of the Seny Major and Carranca bells.

The strings of the Andreví Orchestra culminate the working weekend with a concert in Cervera

the days 30 of November i 1 of December the string section of the Andreví Orchestra of the Conservatory of Cervera starred in a weekend of intensive work at the same center.

It was a very complete day with rehearsals, lunch and dinner together, which served to start from scratch a program to end up offering a concert, sunday at noon, which delighted parents and the general public.

It was possible to listen to such well-known works as Bach's "Aria" or Mozart's "Petita Nocturna Serenade", next to Grieg's "Suite Holdberg".. And the training - with the string teachers- he made a very successful display of it.

Although it was about fifteen hours of work and enjoyment, these are the hours where the members of the formation - young people enter 13 i 18 years- they can be known more thoroughly, make a group and combine efforts to enjoy col·lectively of this universal language that is music. And the final sample is the clear proof that constancy in the work, tenacity and hard work·lectius are the key to improving and being able to offer a quality musical show like the one on Sunday.

Artists from the Alba Association have created the poster for La Passion de Cervera 2025

La Passió de Cervera already has an official poster for this year's edition 2025 and his creative process, as well as the final result, it is full of meaning and symbolism.

The work, presented on Tuesday 3 of December at the Center l'Espígol de Cervera, it is the creation of about fifteen artists from the Alba Association. All of them have participated in this artistic project, where they have tried to embody concepts, representative elements and drawings of The Passion.

The poster has been made through several creative workshops, where the artists of Alba have seen first-hand the most iconic and identifying elements of this representation, which they have subsequently applied in their drawings. Through multiple shapes and colors, and using techniques ranging from watercolor painting·the end of the collage, the participants in the workshops have given life to unique visual proposals, each with its own story and inspiration behind it.

Finally, with the help of the Cervera graphic designer Anna Domenjó, a definitive proposal has been made based on the different artistic proposals made.

From Alba, a growing interest in artistic subjects and a special talent in this area was detected among some people with disabilities. For this reason, artistic workshops have been promoted in recent years to promote and give value to this unique art, as well as the participation of artists in different awards, events and projects col·schools with companies and other entities.

For his part, La Passió de Cervera and its commitment must be highlighted, through the Appropa Cultura project, to make their shows accessible to people in vulnerable situations by offering tickets at very advantageous prices.
The Alba Association's contact with La Passió was through a previous acquaintance, since the people of Alba regularly use the theater to go see shows, also through the link with the Appropa Cultura project.
