The chief paer, Jan Pomés, and the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Raimond Fusté, they presented, Monday 27 November, the six activities that the Paeria will organize these holidays with the aim “that all citizens experience the magic of Christmas in Cervera”.
According to Jan Pomés, the objective of the Paeria is “dignify the celebration of Christmas in Cervera and turn the city into a landmark in the Terres de Lleida”.
In this way, the main novelties were the lighting ceremony of the Christmas lights and a renewed Christmas Market.
The lighting of the Christmas lights will have a central event this year in Plaça Major, on s’instal·a new element will be added to the facade of the Paeria and the lighting of the square will be strengthened. This new structure, which will represent one of the symbols of the city, it is designed so that it can also be used in other festive events.
The lighting ceremony will be on Friday 1 December, them 17.30 hours. It is complemented by a free prior workshop on making Christmas lanterns, which will be held in Paeria. After the lighting there will be a carol singing with the Nova Cervera Children's Choir and a popular chocolate bar.
This year's Christmas Market will have a different format as it will occupy Plaça Santa Anna, Carrer Major and Plaça Major. It will collect more than 50 parades, both local trade and stallholders from outside, that will sell flowers, craft products, of food, decoration, antiques…. There will also be a craft show, an animal pen, giant games, musical performances, Gymkhana, workshops, pairings, a performance by Grepp Teatre, nativity exhibitions, Nadal broth…
The Market will be on Saturday 9 of December and will be open from 11 a 20 hours.
The Christmas Park, the multipurpose hall, will again offer a leisure space for children and young people. It will open from 27 al 30 of December and the days 3 i 4 January.
Various activities for young people will be organized in other spaces and municipal facilities: table games, l’inflable Crazy Jump Race, theater workshops, recreation area of retro machines, escape game (scape room), Paint war (paintball), cinema, the console space “Game over”, a dramatized passage about the "Christmas Story" by La Caserna and the abseiling school.
Posters for other activities such as the Visit of the Page Karim were also presented at the press conference (Thursday 28 December), the New Year's Party and the Parade of Kings.
With the motto "Beer, city of Christmas" six different posters have been produced but following a unitary image. They were created by the designer Anna Domenjó.

Cervera is hosting the Oldenburg Orchestra (Germany) between days 25 i 30 October. It is about the return trip made by the Andreví Orchestra and the Conservatory Band to this German city, of more than 160.000 inhabitants, between days 29 of June i 5 last July.
They will have the opportunity to do a joint concert on the day 28 from October in the evening at the Teatre Casal Agramuntí and on Sunday 29 in the Auditorium of the University of Cervera.
The concert will begin with the Oldenburg Symphony Youth Orchestra, that under the direction of the Catalan Joaquim Palet, will offer us the first movement of the Symphony no 31 de Joseph Haydn, the Adagio of Concerto for flute and orchestra in G Major - with Carlotta Dewald as solo flute- in addition to Lord of the Rings de Howard Shore. Then the string students from both orchestras will join to perform Puigsoli by the Catalan composer Joaquim Serra and the Banda del Conservatori will show us Mancini in Concert under the direction of Xesco Grau. The Andreví Orchestra and the Band will perform the popular song Sardana of the nuns by Enric Morera and then all the members of the orchestras and bands will join to make us listen Forrest Gump d’A. Silvestri, The popular Hungarian dance no. 5.of J. Brahms and they will close with the arch-renowned Pirates of the Caribbean by Klaus Badelt, under the direction of Carles Gumí, Xesco Grau and Joaquim Palet,.
It will certainly be days of experiences, union and feeling of belonging to the group thanks to the exchange of formations and entities of different nature, as well as a strong stimulus for the students.
Besides, the Conservatory has had a week full of activity. Last weekend, the saxophone quartet formed by the students of the Carles Sarri Conservatory, Ian Elies, Jan Gall, Aleix Martí and Toni Raïch, directed by Jordi Sabater, they participated in the Segamots Oral Narration Festival; the teachers of the David Arnau conservatory - horn- and Jordi Castellà -piano- they performed at Cervera's Autumn Concert Series; and Marta Augé's clarinet class concert, which served to fire this Conservatory teacher.

The picturesque cobbled path of the Patamolls de Granollers, in the municipality of Torrefeta and Florejacs, have been the chosen space for the presentation of the 5th Segamots Festival, which will take place 20 al 22 of October in different places in the region, including Cervera and the town of Vergós.
The presentation was made by the head priest of Cervera, Jan Pomés; the president of the Regional Council of Segarra and Councilor for Culture of Cervera, Ramon Augé; the regional councilor of Culture, Anna Rius; the Councilor for Culture of Guissona City Council, Agnes Pla; the mayor of Torrefeta and Florejacs, Josep M. castile; and the artistic director of the Festival, Patricia McGill.
The chief paer, Jan Pomés, has affirmed that "the contest demonstrates Cervera's ability to create culture and spearhead projects in the region". He stressed that "culture should be brought to the villages, like for example Embarrassing, in the municipality of Cervera" and showed his gratitude to the director of the Festival, Patricia McGill.
The Festival will take place between the days 20 i 22 October Cervera, Guissona, Alta-riba, Concabella, Embarrassing, Torrefeta and Tarroja.

Segamots
It is an oral storytelling project that reaches audiences, places, residences, schools, museums, libraries... through its three legs: Festival, stories in schools and residences, and didactic proposal.
He Festival offers shows for family and adult audiences. There are also events, such as round tables or conferences, which are designed for people related to teaching or interested in orality.
This year's topic of reflection will be "sex, love i died: the stories we want to hear and the ones we dare to tell".
The guest narrators are Jordina Biosca (Vilafranca del Penedès), Patricia Picazo (Valencia) i Charo Pita (A Coruña).

The sessions of Catxipanda stories in the residences they are designed for the elderly who live there and their families. And the Catxipanda Storytelling sessions in schools, they are aimed at elementary school students.
The activities of the didactic proposal "My body is a house" they are intended for 5th and 6th grade students.
SegaMots was born with Cervera Capital of Catalan Culture 2019, by Patrícia McGill, who is the coordinator and artistic director. It was created with the intention of being a territorial project, and with a stable annual schedule. Throughout the editions, the project has been consolidated and has obtained the support of most of the municipalities of La Segarra.

The chief paer, Jan Pomés; the Councilor of Culture, Ramon Augé; the Councilor of Festes, Carolina Garcia, and the representative of the Seny Major Group, Ramon Gene, have presented the programs of the 47th Isagoge cultural week and the Festa Major de Cervera.
The Isagoge cultural week is dedicated this year to the figures of Francesc Vicent García, popularly known as Rector of Vallfogona, and Josep Vallverdú. L’any 2023 are commemorated 400 years of the Rector's death (Zaragoza, 1579 – Vallfogona de Riucorb, 1623) and the centenary of the birth of the writer Josep Vallverdú (Lleida, 1923).
According to the Councilor for Culture, Ramon Augé, la Isagoge "will pay tribute to two key figures in the history of Catalonia, both with ties to the historic Segarra, territory of which Cervera claims to be the capital".
Ramon Augé emphasized that "the program presents two types of activities: the most literary ones and those aimed at family audiences".
Isagoge will offer, of the 15 al 22 September, more 20 activities organized by the Department of Culture and other cultural organizations and entities in the city.
The Major Festival, which will be held on 22 al 25 September, will offer a fun program, with 30 activities, for all audiences.

Finally, Ramon Gene, on behalf of the Seny Major entity, has wanted to "enhance popular and traditional culture and all the local entities that make it possible within the Festa Major programming".
