The 12th “Buy and discover Catalonia” campaign has started on June 1, which organizes the Network of Old Quarters with Projects in 33 municipalities of the country, among which Cervera, with the aim of supporting small businesses and promoting local tourism.

During the month of June, people who shop at participating stores, which will be marked with the poster of the twelfth edition, may participate in the prize draw to visit the 33 organizing municipalities. The 4th edition of the FEST Speaker, Social and Transforming Economy Fair, will be held on Saturday 28 May in the main courtyard of the University of Cervera with more than 30 exhibitors, talks and musical performances.

In this fourth edition of the FEST Speaker, normalcy is restored and the sample of projects and entities of the Social Economy returns.
The University of Cervera will host cooperative projects, foundations and organizations working in the field of social economy and cooperativism, among them some new cooperatives that have been born in the last year in the territory with the advice of the cooperative athlete Ponent Coopera.

Exhibitors will include housing projects, food, oci, education, communication, technology, services to people and companies, finance and ethical insurance and training and education; with the desire to make visible through the Social and Solidarity Economy the products and services necessary to cover the needs of our daily lives.

The theme of this year’s fair is the climate emergency and how it can be tackled from the Social and Solidarity Economy, from five central themes: food, consumption, work-leisure, energy-industry and housing-care-community.

As a novelty this year, the content part of the IV Speaker FEST will be structured from what have been called RUESS. A series of streets where projects that revolve around the central themes of the fair and that can respond to the challenge of the climate emergency will be made visible.. They want to bring the different reflections and proposals in an agile and direct way to the public attending the fair..

The RUESS will start from a basic presentation where the general framework of each parade will be put and then visit the stand of those entities that can serve as an example in their day to day.
The RUESS that will form the backbone, so, the content of the FEST Speaker will be: Rua de la Sobirania Alimentaria with a talk by Gustavo Duch, coordinator of the Food Sovereignty magazine (11 hours); Rua de la Sobirania Cultural with a talk by Natalia Virgili, member of the Kult Cooperative (12.30 hours); Rua de la Sobirania Comunitària with the presentation by Ricard Grau, member of the La Boqueria Taller architects ’cooperative (16 hours); Rua de la Sobirania Energética with a talk by Javi Hernández, president of the Vilanoveta energy community (17.30 hours).

Gastronomic experiences take the form of bread and oil pairings, cabbage fruit·collaboration with the Borges Blanques Oil Fair; bread snack with oil, by the Segarra Producers Association; presentations of the loaves of bread and mestral; tastings of panadons and kidney bread; and live cooking demonstration (showcooking) by the influencer Ana Easy Recipes.

The Municipal Auditorium has hosted, Thursday 12 May, the presentation press conference of the fourth edition of the FEST Speaker, the Ponent Social and Transforming Economy Fair, to be held on Saturday 28 May at the University of Cervera.

The presentation was attended by the head of Cervera, Joan Santacana; the head of the Labor Relations Service in Lleida, Lluïsa Prat; and the coordinator of the Ateneu Cooperatiu Ponent Coopera, Marcel Vidal.

In this fourth edition of the Ponent FEST, normalcy is restored and the sample of
