A group of elementary level singers from the Cervera Music Conservatory participated, Saturday 20 d'abril, to the youth cantata “Young Anselm Clavé”, at the Barcelona Auditorium, written on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the birth of this essential figure in Catalan music.

more 600 students from schools and conservatories in Catalonia, the Choir of Candy of Begues and the Society Coral Joventut Tianenca have participated in this musical event, organized by the Federation of Clavé Choirs, with the support of the Department of Education of the Generalitat of Catalonia and the col·collaboration of the Association of Conservatories of Catalonia, the Association of Music Schools of Catalonia and the Associated Private Initiative Music Schools of Catalonia.

The work, written by the composer Andrea de Escalada, it has been musically directed by Claudia Dubé, with the stage direction by Ruth Garcia and a large group of actors, who brought the characters and stories to life with beautiful acting, while transporting us to the time of Clavé's life and work.

The event was chaired by the Minister of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Anna Simó and Castelló, and a nourished audience eagerly followed the whole story.
Choir students, with the help of Núria Mas - teacher of choral singing- and the director Estefania Balcells, who headed the Cerverine entourage, they had a pleasant experience in a choral concert sung in an unbeatable place like the Auditori de Barcelona.
